Let’s face reality; eating out with children is a huge endeavor; however, these twelve app installs work great for keeping our two boys (ages 2.5 & 5) out of trouble. The list is in no particular order and each one is interesting on its own.

Just a word of caution, most of these have advertising during the game so please turn off purchases in your setting. This will save you from the headache of a large bill because your kids bought everything their hearts desire.

Cut the Rope Lite – A mysterious package has arrived, and the creature inside has only one request…CANDY! Get a taste of the highly innovative and addictive Cut the Rope. Try a selection of levels combining outstanding physics, devilishly tricky levels, and bright colorful visuals, Cut the Rope is one of the most original and fun-filled games on the App Store.

Ninja Jump Lite – Jump the ninja back and forth dodging various items such as: birds, dynamite, squirrels, and Chinese stars.

Farmers Market – A rich and colorful upbeat children’s game which introduces Numbers, Colors, Fruits and Vegetables in a fun and educational process. Your children will be counting & eating veggies in no time. This game is packed with joyous colors, remarkable animation technology and humorous sound effects for whole the family to enjoy.

Hair Xmas – Cut, color and style Santa Claus beard and hair! In this Christmas edition of the smash hit Toca Hair Salon, you can choose between styling Santa Claus or a funny Christmas tree! And best of all? It’s completely FREE!

Fling Free – Featuring 10,000s of unique puzzles, such that no two puzzles you encounter are ever the same, and split into 19 levels of increasing difficulty, Fling guarantees you many long hours of puzzling fun! Each puzzle has a single, unique solution, and is solved by simply flinging (pushing) the furballs, and watching them bump each other off the edge of the screen, until only one is left.

Pluto Learns Piano – Help Pluto catch the musical notes while avoiding sharks, rocks and fearsome jellyfish in this awesome side scrolling adventure!!

House of Mice HD Lite – Help mice steal cheese and defeat the cat! House of Mice is a game that tests your speed and ability to solve puzzles

Where’s My Water? Free – Swampy the Alligator lives in the sewers under the city. He is a little different from the other alligators – he’s curious, friendly, and loves taking a nice long shower after a hard day at work. The other alligators have damaged his plumbing and disrupted the water flow. Help Swampy by guiding water to his shower!

Fruit Ninja HD Lite – The simple yet incredibly satisfying gameplay of Fruit Ninja HD is ready for action in Fruit Ninja HD Lite, which features a sample of Classic Mode, as well as a taste of the local multiplayer mode – Zen Duel! Simply swipe the screen to deliciously slash and splatter fruit like a true ninja warrior – but be careful of bombs, which will put a swift end to your juicy adventure!

LightBike 2 – Drive through the cyber space as fast as the light, and have dead heat battles with opponents all over the world!

Racing Penguin, Flying Free – Racing Penguin (or Flying Penguin) is a physics based slide and fly game! Slide down the mountains of Antarctica and flap your wings to fly. Go as fast as you can to escape from the polar bear.

Angry Birds Lite – The survival of the Angry Birds is at stake. Dish out revenge on the green pigs who stole the Birds’ eggs. Use the unique destructive powers of the Angry Birds to lay waste to the pigs’ fortified castles.

With an iPad and some hip apps, you may even decide to take your kids along on date night. Also, these games are very addicting and used best if on your children only.
