  • While the PCB layout was immaculate, Harry’s robo-husband still left something to be desired.

  • Couldn’t you use some serial-in/parallel-out shift registers to control which BCD is active? Or even better, use some stringed together instead of the BCD chips and use a reference array for the characters? 3-4 pins (serial in, serial clock, register clock, and maybe clear) for the entire system and it’d be nearly infinitely extendable.

  • Some kind of theremin-like box that reads a variety of sensors (motion, field effect, capacitance, magnetism, etc) and creates a sound?
