A couple questions and a comment.
The UART pins ARE 5V tolerant, but 3.3V is recommended (Max pin voltage of 32V), not sure why you recommend a level shifter with margins this large.
I am wondering WHAT 5V out is. If I connect a 3.7V LiPo into the system, does the module boost the voltage to 5V? Does the system have circuitry to prevent over-discharge? Is the user supposed to provide the charging circuitry for the 3.7V LiPo or are we expected to give 5V in?
Such sparse documentation. Oh well. The module functions beautifully with a UART cable and a laptop. Now I just need to work out how I am going to handle power/manage a battery I'm planning on attaching to it.
