So the thought to "breadboard" by adding female headers to this board is interesting, but far from practical. I'd instead love a hat, with ribbon cable connectors, leading to a series of DIP breakout boards (like a Raspberry Pi T-board), that I can insert into a real breadboard. That would be cool. In fact, this is what I did: https://forum.alchitry.com/attachment.php?aid=30. See: https://forum.alchitry.com/thread-283.html
It is nice to have a board with switches and LEDs ready to go for this FPGA.
BUT seriously, the switches are teensy tiny. I have to have my cheaters on, bright lights, and a specialized sharp switch flipper pointy device to flip them.

Version 1.2.1 of the Alchitry Labs did not work for me, but 1.2.4 beta did install...
The IO Element board is nearly impossible to use due to the tiny switches, that can only be flipped with teensy-tiny tools and magnifying eyesight. The Alchitry Labs IDE installer will not run on my Windows 10 machine and complains of a JRE version less than 8, when I have openjdk 11 installed. I have a message out to Alchitry Labs and am awaiting response. So far, a less than inspiring experience...
