  • These seem quite overpriced. You can find a set of two for a little more than $5 if you look hard enough.

  • the 2N3904 is a close replacement NPN BJT transistor replacement to the 2N2222. I think the 2N3904 can only handle a third of the current or something. http://www.sparkfun.com/products/521
    For temperature, I use a thermistor on my UNO and it worked great. http://www.sparkfun.com/products/250 and the arduino code: http://www.arduino.cc/playground/ComponentLib/Thermistor

  • I'd love to see this kit minus the breadboard and jumper wires. Having all the parts together in a single kit would be nice for those who have already developed a project using the Arduino, but want to make it into something permanent on a perf board or custom PCB. Otherwise, I've got to browse around the site and add all the parts to a wishlist or shopping cart one at a time.

  • Try increasing the delay in between steps. It sounds like a common problem when you're stepping faster than the motor can handle, it doesn't move, but buzzes.
