  • Tutorial - Using an Arduino to Program an AVR | about 3 years ago

I have a graphic LCD with parallel interface. I’m trying to make a “serial interface” using the Sparkfun GLCD code with a ATM328P. The LCD works as I tried it with the Arduino GLCD library.
I have an arduino setup as a ISP programmer. It works since I can burn bootloaders.
I send the “main.hex” file with Avrdude. Goes in fine, no errors, but when I try to use the 328 with the LCD, I get nothing (no splash screen). The 328 already has a bootloader. Do I have to get rid of it first? if yes, how? Or what am I doing wrong?
I’m rather new with AVR (4 months), but I know electronics. I’ve doublechecked all connexions. Everything seems fine.
    Thanks for your help.
