  • ya know….you promised me this ORKO outfit would make me an instant chic magnet with the cosplay crowd…but I dont see a single female here, so……

  • Primarily this one: PiTFT - Assembled 480x320 3.5" TFT+Touchscreen for Raspberry Pi PRODUCT ID: 2097

(which is new, even though I thought they had 3.2in one as well which is what I’m currently looking for (they 2.8 but that’s just too small).

  • Just because I’m lazy…can someone point what would be the difference between these screens and similar ones sold by Adafruit? They seem to be pretty similar except when it comes to the price.

  • Technically it may be a failure, but you learn so much in the process…may be good topic for the Hack-A-Day Fail of the week (may not be very helpful cuz most of those bowels are eternally stuck in the TIGHT position )…

  • My 4 year old grand son, loves to walk around and talk to things…he has a tremendous imagination, That being said, I’d love to create a hate, etc. that when it wears it it will detect where he is and randomly have things TALK to HIM!.

IE, he likes to talk to m=himself in the mirror, wouldn’t it be great if the mirror talked back? or the TV? or his Iron Man toy?

I’d probably use NFC to detect things and have the lily pad play a different file based on the NFC tag.

  • Robert…Robert, you do know this is NOT a beagle bone? …So why then did you make me wear this cape??

  • Dr Noonian Soong’s ancestor first attempt at a positronic brain, and it appears to be heading for an epic fail…

  • They have the same motors and such on their website.

  • if your watching this image then it is already too late…I was experimenting with entanglement and somehow this led strip controlled by some mangled Arduino FFT code sent a random photons into the time/space continuum and created a some weird alternate universe where days just seemed to vanish from existence….now Halloween no longer exists, weeks have shortened, and if this continues Arduino’s will reproduce at alarming rates leaving the hacker-space devoid of any diversity…

  • I am sure Robert C understands you perfectly..I don’t think you understood him…

They sell hundreds, if not thousands of products. While it may seem trivial to you, converting all those numbers to the system YOU prefer is a lot of work. Instead, as he pointed out in English (might be US English, but I think it translates fine to UK English), is that they prefer to use the units the manufacturer provides.

The part about ‘lossy’ was just a polite way of saying (even in British terms), ‘you can do it yourself and get the same results I would’. Especially since with this crowd, if they were to make a mistake converting, many of you (I’m looking at you!) would go all ape-shit over it.

Can’t please all of the people, ‘specially when most of them think they’re experts….
