  • The spookiness of that jack-o-lantern goes to eleven.

  • When the great Nate said the company needed to “down-size”, his unwitting employees had no idea his reference to size should be taken LITERALLY. Now, in addition to befriending ants and sleeping amongst the grass blades, the shrunken Sparkfun staff need to be fearful of RC lawnmowers - and ESPECIALLY autonomous lawnmowers, coming this week to the AVC!

  • you’ve been spending too much time watching HealthCare.gov reporting Oh…. snap! Ha ha…

Seriously though, my curiosity has been piqued too… which ones do require “expert” level skill?

  • Samantha,

Parts come from separate sources and at different times via separate shipments – check.

    Two quick questions:

1.) Approximately how many boxes in total were shipped to satisfy the manufacturing requirement of 700 boards, AND

2.) What, in your estimate, is the average weight of one of these boxes?

Of course different shipments will have different corresponding weights, and I don’t expect you to tally each of the individual boxes associated with the separate shipments, BUT… Ballpark estimate - if you would be so kind.

    Thanks~

  • DIY oil prospecting here I come!

  • WOOOOHOOO!!

Ok, so that level of excitement may not be warranted here… But finally! A 4-pole jack! I’ve been dying to incorporate some USB-to-3.5mm cables in some of my projects - using one port on the pcb which can be used for both audio and serial RX/TX comm. Any chance on stocking the 4 conductor female receptor as well? THX U SF!

  • Just about everyone stocks 3.5mm stereo jacks. Great standard connector, but excitability factor? Meh…

What would be SUPER-sweet is a 4-POLE 3.5mm jack (and female adapter). With the 4 different conductors, you could create custom USB-to-3.5mm connectors, or really useful VCC/RX/TX/GND connectors. Not to mention the fact that you could actually break out the 4-pole stereo/mic on an iPhone/Android device. Any chance on getting some of these?
