Same here, I’ve ‘learned’ vim and love it. I realize I can write sketches in vim and use the Arduino ide to upload, but that always seemed a bit of a kludge.
I haven’t used this enough to see if it’s worth it, but I’m happy to give it a fair shot…

Freakin' sweet! I’ve just tutorialed my way through Sketchup and discovered Eagleup. This will be incredibly valuable for getting my projects to another level of professional! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This book fills a niche, at least for me. It has clear, concise descriptions of components that you can’t get anywhere else. Datasheets are way too detailed and don’t provide the “common knowledge” that exists about items. It more closely resembles a wiki entry, but spells out how to use an item as opposed to just basic facts like Wikipedia does. It doesn’t try to be all inclusive and focuses mainly on hobby uses.
