  • Thanks for the feedback! I clarified under the product description of both the OpenLog Artemis versions with IMU and w/out IMU with the following changes:

    • that it is supported as "Any u-Blox GPS Modules (Lat/Long, Altitude, Velocity, SIV, Time, Date) such as:"
    • updated the list of supported Qwiic products by adding the "MAX-M10S 1.5m Ultra-Low Power GPS"
    • included the "OpenLog Artemis" as a similar product under the "OpenLog Artemis (without IMU)"

    I also mirrored the changes to the GitHub Repo. =)

  • The OpenLog Artemis (with/without the IMU) supports any of the u-blox GNSS boards via Qwiic since they have the same I2C address and protocol. It's subtly stated in the OpenLog Artemis Hookup Guide: Introduction:

    "Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) navigation data. The OLA can be linked to any of SparkFun’s u-blox GNSS boards allowing you to log accurate position, velocity and time data from..."

    Thus, the SparkFun GNSS Receiver Breakout - MAX-M10S (Qwiic) and any u-blox GNSS module should work with the Openlog Artemis through I2C. I also had the parts available and verified that the MAX-M10S can connect to the OpenLog Artemis (without IMU). I was able to view GNSS output and synchronize the RTC date/time with the GNSS receiver. ;)

  • Ooo, I like some of these ideas for improvement. I could fit more characters on the screen and though I'd have to figure out how to connect to the the USB pins. Besides keeping track of when I left my desk, the Qwiic RTC could act as a clock when I'm at my desk.

  • To disconnect a u.FL connector using the tool, slide the end with the two teeth labeled as "u.FL" around the u.FL connector. Pull the u.FL connector up and away from the board. Avoid pulling the u.FL connector at an angle like a crowbar. ;)

    Note: The hole in the tool is for sliding a keyring through.

  • Ok, I just tested with a mutimeter. I adjusted the voltage as well to 12V on the cable just as a quick test and the USB port is about 5V as expected. My co-worker just updated the product description and features tab. =)

  • Nice catch. I haven't tested this power supply yet but the sticker indicates that the extra USB port outputs 5V/2.4A.
