  • 800 gf-cm is 0.078 Nm is 11 oz-in.

  • In fact the module has 8 times more memories: 62kB Flash Memory, 8kB RAM. We are engineers, we are supposed to use units correctly, damn it.

  • What about security? If the finger matches, will the device send some secret 128-bit value that was configured when the finger was learned? (Or allow decrypting using the secret.) If not, then this scanner must be stored in an armored box.

  • Are there still quality issues with the hole being plugged up on a fraction of these? I see a number of people complaining about that from 2-3 years ago. I’d really like to buy this, but I don’t have the time to waste on a DOA product.

  • For those outside of USA the torque is about 50 N*cm.

  • Can the cover protect the switch in the ON position or does closing the cover automatically switch it to OFF? I realize you could wire it the other way, but then would the cover need to be slightly raised to leave it in the OFF position? Thanks!

  • I was thinking the same thing. I mean the tutorial is nice but the ready to boot image would be nicer.

  • Its been asked several times before, noone commented yet. Can I combine 10401 (LiPo Charger Basic) and 10255 (LiPower - Boost Converter) directly? Like one box with two USB connectors and a Lipo inside, where I can connect either a computer to charge the Lipo, or a mobile to charge this. Or even connect the box to an unreliable 5v source (bicycle generator comes to mind) and have the Lipo as kind of a USV?

    I basically would connect the Lipo to both the charger and the step-up-converter, all three of them in parallel.

    Any thoughts greatly welcome!
