Just ordered this device, I’ll report back if I ever get around to trying 3.3V.

No, it isn’t. I don’t see it in Sparkfun-Connectors.lbr anyway.

The 1/6th watt is smaller but can’t handle as much current.

The power switches are in your heater. Thermostats are 24V AC, low-power devices.
And I bet most heaters still use relays.
