  • It seems unlikely to me that the Customs Office would know to look for this obscure trademark without a request from Fluke’s lawyers.

  • Interesting and sad.

  • 4-40 ½" screws (3 needed and not included) work well for attaching the nylon standoffs to the chassis. The ¼" included screws weren’t quite long enough. And for some reason I had trouble mounting a motor without some drilling help from my dremel. A hole didn’t seem lined up properly, but that might have been my error. Other than that, I’m having fun with this kit.

  • “Power-supply lines must be decoupled by a 0.01-uF to 0.1-uF capacitor with short leads placed close to the TSL235R.” So I guess a capacitor is required to use this. That doesn’t count as an external component?
