  • 3m would be safe. In fact, the less wire, the safer. But in any case, I think this device is set up so if you overload it, it just dims the output.

    FYI, according to that datasheet, the "wire" is basically a 3m long capacitor. Adding length increases the capacitance, which increases the power draw.
