  • It's easy enough to replace the resistor with an appropriate one if you want to work with a different voltage. I'm making a gameshow buzzer for my brother and didn't want to use 12V. I replaced it with 100 ohm and it works from the 3.6V Vcc of my MSP430 Launchpad.
