  • Where is the Fritzing part for this shield? It’s not in https://github.com/sparkfun/Fritzing_Parts

  • Is this actually available? I ask because the standalone Base Block is on backorder, but I’m willing to purchase this set if it will ship immediately.

  • Thanks for the follow up.

Check your solder connections between the headers and the shield

I eliminated this as a cause of the problem.

I went back to the store this morning and purchased a second device, assembled and tested: everything ok with this one, so I will chock it up to a faulty device. Thanks again!

  • Followed the instructions here, with the code provided here, using several different UNO (and similar compatible devices) and this shield (possibly my specific unit) simply doesn’t work. Any tips to troubleshoot?

  • To get started with Node.js programming on the Edison, check out Johnny-Five with the Edison-IO or Galileo-IO plugin modules.

  • You’re still citing the the wrong investigation report. The most recent, highly transparent report is here: https://github.com/blog/1826-follow-up-to-the-investigation-results

  • “It didn’t even say by whom”

The most recent update most certainly does name those who acted inappropriately. I would recommend actually reading it: https://github.com/blog/1826-follow-up-to-the-investigation-results

  • The IDE is exactly what I try to avoid at these events. Either way, thanks for the follow up

  • This new kit looks really great! Really excited about the LCD module and upgraded motor/

Feedback: The next kit should absolutely upgrade the servo to at least the SparkFun medium (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10333). The small servo that has shipped in the kit since I can remember is poor quality—it’s range is limited to about 10°-160°.

Does the RedBoard ship with StandardFirmata pre-flashed (as the Arduino UNO, Leonardo and Mega)? In the last year or so, I’ve been involved in hardware hacking events that have been the source of many very large quantity orders (both single retail units and bulk). Generally, this has been a great experience because the Arduino UNO boards are flashed with StandardFirmata and ready to go.

  • Does anyone have a link to the bottom/base that is shown in the last photo?

No public wish lists :(
