    I respectfully disagree with supersat about using wick alone - I’ve found that ChipQuik doesn’t “wick up” my wick alone, so a touch of leaded solder is needed with the wick.

  • I notice you often calculate the value mathematically, but then ballpark a more common value (100uF). When can you do this without negatively influencing the circuit?

    Also, when do you guesstimate low frequency or high frequency for cap values, i.e. when do you choose 10Hz and when do you choose 100kHz?
