    I have a Sparkfun EL sequencer board, which uses the FTDI interface to connect to a USB cable. I would like to hook up a MakeyMakey via USB and communicate between the two. I have not had any success by hooking the two via a USB hub.

    Is it possible to communicate between the FTDI/USB cable to another USB? Do I need to wire these together directly via USB? Are then even compatible?

    Hi Mike, I’ve tried that setting and many others. I also get: avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00 Hmmm.

    This is my first time using the sequencer, and I get:

    avrdude: usbdev_open(): did not find any USB device “usb”.

    My machine (Win 7) sees the FTDI driver working on COM7. It works find on my regular Arduino with the USM connector, just not with the EL Sequencer. Any ideas?

    I have a 3v external supply hooked up, PWR and STAT are ON

    I have stacked them successfully. Getting the right pins in the right pass-through points are key if you are soldering your own headers. I wired the second board to the A-pins and made a splitter for the power and inverter block. It all worked out well. My simultaneous EL wire length is less than 60cm at a time, so I can’t speak as to performance.
