  • Tutorial - A ProMicro Installation and Arduino Briefing | about a year ago

To clarify for Mac users: I downloaded the files where is says, “Grab this zip folder”. Quit the arduino IDE. Then, under documents/arduino, I made a folder called ‘hardware’.. then, under ‘hardware’, I made another directory, called ‘proMicro’. I copy and pasted the files from that zip file and put them in proMicro. re-open the arduino IDE. The go to Tools –> board –> spark fun (choose which ever board you have).. and then tools –> serial port –> /dev/tty.usbmodem411. I opened up blink - freaked out because it wasn’t working. I then continued to RTFM. Then I copy and pasted the program above. Worked like a charm. Sweet first experience with arduinos - really psyched!
