Any plans to revise the Magician chassis or make your own improved version ? The bottom deck is practically useless because the standoffs aren’t high enough to provide any sort of reasonable access for ongoing maintenance/tweaking. Another good revision would be to mount the DC gearmotors on top of the bottom deck to give the bot better ground clearance. For that matter, wheels of a larger diameter would be nice for the same reason. It’s sad when bots have trouble transitioning over a threshold between, say, tile and carpet because they’re too close to the ground.

Has anyone managed to get this IC to work in an actual project? I tried one of the sample circuits in the datasheet and got nowhere. Oddly, there’s a “TS” pin that the datasheet says is “For IC Test Only”, yet every one of their example circuits has a boatload of connections to this pin. From the description, I would think it was a “no connection” unless you were making some sort of test point on a board. In fact, on the example circuits, the only path from VCC to the chip’s VDD pin is via all the stuff they have connected to the TS pin. Somebody please shed some light on this thing!

Yep, 1-inch schedule 40 pvc :
Outside Diameter: 1.315 in
Avg Inside Diameter: 1.029 in
Max Working Pressure: 450 PSI
I can’t see the markings as well as I’d like, but I think the pipe used in the video indicated Schedule 40
No public wish lists :(
