A lot of the cheap ones use counterfeit Prolific serial chips that Windows 7 doesn't like. I have one and it's not good at all for high-speed applications. My genuine Prolific and FTDI cable work marvelously, though.
Basically, you're paying for genuine chips and superb build quality.
Is it able to pair with iOS devices?

Having videos of the classes online would be nice, Going from the east coast to Colorado just to go to an electronics class isn't something I can do. It would be a great help to all of us that can't physically go to the classes.
Just had an idea: Telepresence. I'll let you use your imaginations.
