  • Thirty bux - ouch!

  • Oh how I wish there was a six segment version of this for clock displays.

  • $69.95 = Ouch! 27 RGB LEDs elsewhere at $1 a piece in quantity is $27. That leaves $42.95 for the rest of the kit. I don't think so. I might go for $49.95.

  • What we need is the same thing with fixed 5V and 3.3V regulators. These should be LDO regulators with SMT. The single regulator on this board looks to be the old LM317 adjustable in SMT package; this is likely not an LDO regulator. Plus I'm worried the parasitics with the SMT 10uF cap; might make this unstable.

  • Finally the 85 appears. SparkFun is in the U.S., so I'm guessing PIC fan boys. AVRs not on the brain. - I'd like to see an ATtiny parts kit including ATtiny85, 20MHz crystal, crystal caps, bypass cap, and maybe a six pin ISP header. Even if these parts aren't kitted the related products list below should include them. Nope, now I gotta go hunting; or maybe that's the idea :-(

  • Wah? The Telit GE864 breakout is $139.95 with the module on-board. The Telit GE864 module alone is $79.95. Why did the BOB double in price? Howzat SparkFun?

  • You will be assimilated!

  • You need a larger quantity of the following standard 10% values from 10 Ohms through 1 MOhm:
    10, 12, 15, 18, 22, 27, 33, 39, 47, 56, 68, 82

  • "The above two connectors were designed to be used together, but there was a problem with this configuration and the FCC started moving towards Part 15 compliance."
I think what you mean is that the U.S. Government (FCC) decided to reverse the connector polarity to prevent consumers (you) from attaching high gain antennas. About twenty milliseconds after the first reverse polarized WiFi box came out, reverse SMA adapters fell from the sky.
This is what happens when you let the Government control your life. And now we're getting Government controlled health care shoved down our throats in the U.S. I'm looking forward to waiting six months for my first reverse polarized colonoscopy.

  • Price is a little on the high side but not a deal-breaker. Hard to believe these are not physically and electrically end-stackable. Need six digits for clocks, You should have enough I/O pins on the 168 for six digits if you're multiplexing - right? Need red not yellow (at least it looks yellow). Sell the boards and the LEDs separately or as a kit so we can choose the LED color.

No public wish lists :(
