Apparently Kodama can be coaxed out of the forest and taught to work power point presentations. Will we see Nate riding around on a a deer next?
(Also, love the pencils stuck in the ceiling!)
Any of you who have used this stuff will readily agree: It is awesome.
I worked on high temp testing of directional drilling tools and we used this stuff EVERYWHERE. Wonderful wonderful stuff.
Nate, just remember that New Years isn’t complete without fireworks. It’s even better when the fireworks are being shot at your UAV, the kids love it. :)

(I’m close to half a million views on this vid, holy cow)
Those PC power supplies make GREAT benchtop power supplies with just a little modification.

Works great. You can adjust the current pot with an itty bitty screwdriver.
One thing that would be really nice is a breakout for the /SLEEP pin of the A3976. It is currently connected directly to 5V on the board. It would be better to have a weak pull up to 5V and a breakout for anyone who wants to actually cut power to the coils.
This little guy will draw the current you set it to no matter if it is moving or not. My application needed to be able to kill the holding torque for manual movements so I had to cut a trace on the board etc.
I love the user’s manual for this thing.
Battery Replacement
It it important to turn the unit off before replacing the battery otherwise the Temp Gun may malfunction. In fact, it could cause a tear in the fabric of the Universe, and all of existence may be erased. You don’t want that.
I love your nerdy little heads.
Here is a tip.
If you need coin cells in a pinch and can’t wait to buy em cheap from china: Just go to the store and buy a cheap device that uses them.
What?!
Yeah, buy a $1 LED key chain and get $5 worth of coin cells, plus a crappy LED key chain.
No public wish lists :(
