I’m just starting out, and I don’t really know anything about this, so try to bear with me. in the hookup guide, it says that this can be used to program any AVR microcontroller. how would I go about, say, programming an ATmega instead of an ATtiny? where would I get the proper definitions for the controller and stuff, and how would I hook it up? in the hookup guide, it refers to holes that are nonexistent on the actual programmer for the outputs; I assume, however, I could just work around this by plugging the jumpers into the prototyping sockets and connecting the proper MOSI, reset, etc. pins to the pins on the other chip. would this be correct? sorry for all the questions, I’m sure some or all of them are relatively stupid. if there’s a tutorial for this type of thing, that would be great. I haven’t been able to find one, though.
