well I'm confused... I would have expected 2x 6 pin and 2x 8 pin... somebody tell me where these go! I need 2x 6 and 2x 8 to fit my pinout! bought them for the xbee shield which doesn't accommodate the 10 and 8 pin. I guess I should buy the individual pieces from now one.
Tutorial - Breadboard Power Supply Kit 5V/3.3V Quickstart Guide
about 7 years ago
OK, this was my first project and I really enjoyed building it! I could use some help in troubleshooting though. I have triple checked all the components are in the right place and polarity, my solder joints are as you would expect from a rookie, but no bridges noticeable. When I power it up, I get just about 3V out regardless of the output switch setting.
Anybody care to recommend a starting point/component? I have spent a lifetime doing software so debugging electronics is pretty new to me.
so far I do see 5.25 V at the input connector, not sure where to go next. The led does come on, the voltage at the output select switch is around 1vdc regardless of the sw position but I doubt that matters.
Sorry for the rookie question, but thanks for any help.
