This in surface mount would be even more awesome. I want one anyways.

I am thinking about eventually doing this to my (now out of warranty) washer and drier.

I feel a need to drop everything and find something to design just for this button. These look awesome.

    BlackJester:

Question: Can more than 100mA be drawn from a USB port without a software request?
This was my thinking exactly. Has anyone tested the charge current when plugged into a PC or any software regulated cellphone charger? I recall the USB specification saying, “100 mA unless you request more” or something like that.

This may be a sad statement, but this may have been the most fun on the internet I have ever had. Never thought that clicking refresh over and over could be more exciting than some of my favorite games. As for what I got (bluetooth dip module, blackberry trackball breakout and keypad) we’ll see if i can build a bluetooth keypad/mouse, and when thats done, the real fun will begin, with a steam punk digitizer and keyboard.

Will this be broadcast? Or at least recorded for future watching?

The forward slashes should work on any platform, including Windows, I think. On unix-based platforms \ is used as an escape character, usually. Other than that, and a few platform based hangups, I got this project going, pretty easily. I found this tutorial a little too basic, so I looked into the Run_Project file, saw what was going on, and managed to go a little further. I got my arduino to drive a 3-color LED to cycle through the colors. I am pretty happy with Arduino so far. Thanks for the tutorial.

No public wish lists :(
