I'm using the Autodriver to power a gauge needle stepper motor. It is powered by a 12V DC 20A power supply. It's been working fine for several months, but then suddenly it burnt the L6470 chip after turning it on yesterday. I replaced the Autodriver with another one - it worked several times and then burnt that one too. I have kept the Overcurrent shutdown to 'DISABLED', but it had been set to that for a long time without any problem. Also the voltage compensation is disabled too, im not sure whether that would make a difference though. Lastly I'm using maximum KVA's for acc, dcc, holding and running since thats how my motor works best. I would appreciate if anyone can decipher whats happening here.
