I have a suggestion for iphone MFI workaround. Use an iphone compatible wireless charging receiver circuit. Can be found for ~$2, is very compact, and will have the necessary MFI circuitry. Just rewire to run on 5VDC instead of the wireless coil's AC voltage.
Ugh, it's been a few years since the last revision. This is over priced, and you still have to add an amplifier circuit and sd card for storage. There are cheaper ways to get triggerable sounds without mp3 or sd card, and still have usb mountable storage. Search google for "audio fx sound board trigger", costs half the price of this.
Page is still really out of date. The arduino libraries for this are amazing now.
I too have looked into this. If you do not have your .zip or gerber files you will have to recreate them. Sorry.
If you kept your .zip or gerber files, then you can follow these instructions to create the outline file that OSH Park needs.
http://batchpcb.oshpark.com/how-to/board-outline/index.html
BatchPCB wanted the board outline on another layer, like top silkscreen, or top copper. The quickest path to converting your gerbers for use at OSHPark is to simply make a copy of the file that has your board outline in it, and give it a “.GKO” extension.
I am very interested in your code, I too am trying to implement these with an attiny.
What are the dimensions of the board?
I too would like to see that number, may prove discouraging or motivating..lol, like this MMO http://mmo.smbc-comics.com/login.php which was created for this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cD69PAIqiYo
