  • AJAX isn’t 100% the correct term. That’s normally what’s being used when you request something, and your page does not refresh.

    Pushing data from the server is called comet, push ajax, reverse ajax… It takes a webserver that can keep a connection open for a longer period of time (something that HTML wasn’t designed for).

    But yes, you’ll have enough traffic already by all the users F5'ing, such a technique would still produce something readable for the users!

  • I was convinced too that this is a dutch accent. And also, it seemed as if the voice was dubbed. But that could be due to all the hair :-)
