  • I just read through the “getting started” guide and from that my understanding is “no.” There are two options for turning power to the battery off: the battery switch and the “en” pin. Hoping to bump this up as it would be great for the designer to answer the question. I’d like to use this in a simple circuit that can be plugged in to charge. What I’m trying to figure out, as you are, is do we need to instruct the end user to “power off” the device before charging, or can they simply plug it in? Even more specifically: i have a 1Ah LiPo, this, an Esp8266, and a small haptic motor. I’d like to package it up and let people re-charge it. Is that safe? Or, should I turn breakout the battery switch, and have people “turn it off” before plugging in to charge?

  • I have a DC motor with a coupler to extend the shaft (not far, couple inches). I’d like to stabilize the shaft and place it in a bearing. How do you ensure the shaft is attached to the bearing so it’s not just spinning inside the bearing bore?

Sorry if my terminology is off, not totally sure how to even ask my question.

  • Got this working:

I can post more details if anyone wants :)

  • sigh does anyone have a photo of how to wire this?

  • Can anyone say the difference between the ws2182 and the ws2182b? The reason i ask is the 1m units are out of stock but i see ws2182b 1m units on other sites. Trying to figure out if they are same product. time is critical, otherwise i would wait for them to be back in stock.

  • I purchased this board as a drop in replacement for a project I’m doing with an Arduino Mini 04. I used the 04 after using a Desemuilnevoa or however you spell that and both work fine. I even used a RBBB Arduino and that worked as well. The project consists of using the BLE Mini module from RedBearLab: http://redbearlab.com/blemini/ and just blinking a RGB LED.

I have the LED blinking with the pro micro from sparkfun, but the TX/RX communication appears to just not work. I could not get it to work with the Teensy 2.0 or 3.0 either. The BLE module just uses serial.available() nothing special.

Any thoughts to why this pro micro might not work? The baud rate is set correctly. I think it’s just a little beyond my skill level to debug.

  • question, if i am using a brushless dc motor with encoder on it, do you hook up the encoder wires to this module? or to the arduino?

  • wow, once again could not get through and on top of that they make me do homework… i was really really counting on this free day for a project i am doing. pretty lame.

No public wish lists :(
