  • It does heat up, its just so small its difficult for solder to stick to. Try feeding solder onto the tip by poking the very end of the solder with the tip, the solder will melt and roll up the tip. It still works when you hold it to a pad; soldered some 0402 components with it today.

  • The professional license is very powerful, i prefer it to Altium and Orcad. Plus, for a community based company, that is important.

  • That is rather expensive. Mcmaster gets you 100 of them for less than $2.50 (part number 90631A005). You can still turn a profit without the huge markup…

  • Dont you need a load resistor on a line? Your PSU will go poof without one on a 5v or 12v line. If it doesn’t go poof, it will refuse to supply power.
