Tutorial on setting up arduino and transmitting IR - https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/ir-communication

Required:

  • Arduino Uno
  • LEDs (get more than 1)
  • resistors
  • usb cable to program

Optional pieces are

  • Project enclosure
  • USB cable if you already have one at home

** 9V battery adaptor can be use to power Arduino once the code is working and you want to disconnect from computer.**
