Thermal USB Printer

The idea is to make the thermal printer component accessible via USB. I think the wish list is pretty self explanatory, but here is a short breakdown anyways:

  • the thermal printer
  • a USB to serial breakout board that goes inbetween the printer and the pc
  • a barrel jack for the external power source (the printer uses too much power for USB)
  • a USB cable to connect pc and breakout board
  • a green LED for the breakout board (in case additional debugging is needed)
  • a small batch of fitting thermal paper
