Hello? Is anyone there? A single work day between the weekend and a holiday deserves an unbridled side-eye, and we’re guessing a good chunk of folks were suddenly stricken with a mysteriously debilitating but temporary summer cold last night. But in case you’re still with us today, here is a compilation of a few classic tutorials and resources that will either add excitement, education or an element of risk to your Fourth of July — and let’s be honest, no good Independence Day is complete without a little of all three.

My uncle Frank, his missing finger and the rest of SparkFun would like to remind you to be safe out there, and we’ll see you and ALL your appendages on Wednesday!

  • WiFi controlled fire-cannon ? really ? Someone going to love it.

  • One of the downsides of being retired is that there is little difference between a holiday or weekend, and a “normal” weekday, aside from no snail-mail and some places being closed (or on shortened hours).

I certainly wish everyone at SparkFun a fun, and safe, holiday!
