A new series of bendable EL wire, an advanced debugging cable for ChromeOS, and a sensor probe for your Shapeoko and Nomad CNC mills!
Hello and welcome back to another Friday Product Post! This week is sure to light up your projects with 12 new Bendable EL wires in various colors, the SuzyQable to help debug and diagnose ChromeOS devices, and a touch probe from Carbide3D to accurately calibrate your Shapeoko and Nomad CNC mills.
Just as a reminder: You have until the 15th of July to get a free SparkFun Small Parts Kit if you already have $40 worth of product in your cart! After the 15th, we will be moving onto the next free product, so make sure to get these deals while you can, because after that (or after the reserved units are gone) they will be over! Find out how it works at our Four Weeks of Free page.
It's a pretty big week so let's jump in and take a closer look at all the new products!
Do you love EL wire, but wish it was more bendable? Well look no further! These EL Wires contain a special bendable wire core that allows you to articulate and mold your EL wire any way that you want!
We offer these Bendable EL Wires in Blue, Green, Fluorescent Green, Purple, Yellow, Blue-Green, Red, Pink, Orange and White. Each is 3 meters (almost 10 feet) in length, approximately 5mm in diameter and terminated with simple JST-PH connectors. These connectors also work directly with our SparkFun Original EL driver boards, the EL Escudo and the EL Sequencer.
The SuzyQable allows you to quickly access debugging, recovery and developer features exposed through some of the USB-C ports on ChromeOS and other Google devices. To be honest with everyone interested in this cable, it is not for the average developer and is recommended for advanced users and professionals.
The Touch Probe from Carbide 3D is a small accessory piece for your Shapeoko CNC machine meant to assist in finding the edges, or datums, of the part you are milling. This part is an active probe, and when contacted to ground, communicates its position to the Carbide Motion program to help you fabricate easier.
That's it for this week, everyone! We really hope you enjoy all the fun new products we have available today. As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram or Facebook. We’d love to see what projects you’ve made!
We'll be back next week with even more fantastic new products!
