Open Source Hardware

If a device or project has this icon, it means the plans must:

  • Contain editable source files
  • Allow for modification
  • No discrimination against groups (Flying Spaghetti Monster) or technology (Relay Logic)
  • You are allowed to sell your version. No -NC limitations.
  • May require attribution

We encourage you to stand on our shoulders and even make money at it! Please maintain our license and any attribution marks on the schematic. The PCB must have the OSHW logo in silkscreen.

v1.0 of the OSHW definition can be found on OSHWA.org.

Be sure to sign up on the OSHW mailing list for the most recent updates.
