Set screw hubs offer a cheap way to attach hub mount gears or wheels to a shaft. The hub offers 4 equally spaced 6-32 tapped holes utilizing the 0.77" hub pattern and is precision machined from 6061 T6 aluminum. The set-screw is 10-32 and uses a 3/32” hex key. This hub has a 6mm bore.
Actobotics is a robotics building system based around extruded aluminum channels, gears, precision shafts, and ball bearings. Thanks to the two standardized hole patterns, nearly all Actobotics components can be intuitively connected together. The wide range of components makes building complex electromechanical prototypes or finished projects a reality.
This skill concerns mechanical and robotics knowledge. You may need to know how mechanical parts interact, how motors work, or how to use motor drivers and controllers.
Skill Level: Noob - You will be required to put together a robotics kit. Necessary parts are included and steps will be easy to follow. You also might encounter basic robotics components like bearings, mounts, or other hardware and need a general idea of how it goes together.

It does perfectly it's job, connecting precision wheel with precision bore. Take care if you use metric system for the screws use imperial pitch.
Good tolerances. Machining is very good. Sparkfun description should indicate that threaded holes centers are diagonally 2.0 cm apart = 0.787" for precision maching pieces to fit this hub. Overall works well for shaft with flat section. Set screw works well, holds good torque without slipping. Threads are precise and fit an M3 screw (metric 3mm diameter).
