  • I’ve got a prototyping board up on BatchPCB that fits this case: http://batchpcb.com/index.php/Products/43964

    • BatchPCB closed and points users to OSH Park. Is there any chance you could make your file available to get manufactured at OSH Park? Thanks!

  • Any IP-rating on this? Eg. does it seal tight enough to survive a shower?

  • Original manufacturer data here: http://www.teko.it/en/prodotti/famiglia/PO/serie/68
Includes their drawing datasheet, a DWG and an eDrawing. Their drawing includes maximum PCB dimensions. The site also has a material datasheet in Italian (spoiler, it’s made of UL 94 rated ABS).

  • What units are the measurements in the datasheet? It looks like millimeters but I would just like to be sure of this.

  • The data sheet is pretty thorough, but there is one dimension missing: the outside radius or diameter of the screw-receptacle pylons in the corners. These structures determine part of the shape of the edge of the board so they are needed (if using all of the internal space).
Can someone there do us a big favor and measure and post them? It could someone get their board design done without waiting for a sample. (Note that the alternate corners are different inside dimensions, so there are likely two different measurements)
    Thanks!

  • Not waterproof, but there’s nothing a little silicon or acrylic can’t do…

  • This enclosure is very tiny but will fit a ProtoBoard - Square Shape

  • Does anyone know how much this weighs?

  • God it’s tiny, Bus Pirate won’t fit inside.

  • Does SparkFun have a .step or other CAD model for this enclosure?

    • If anyone is interested, I have generated this enclosure as a 3d model. You can get it for free, as well as tons of other models, from www.3dcontentcentral.com
Available as the original SolidWorks part, .stp, .igs, and just about any format you can think of. Hope this can be helpful to someone.
If sparkfun is listening; it would rock to have all your mechanical parts available as 3d models, either here or on a site like 3dcontentcentral!

  • What material is this made out of?

  • Would a 9v battery fit inside the case?

    • I don’t think a 9V would fit. The internal dimensions aren’t that big. A 9V is 48.5 x 26.5 x 17.5.

      • Correct, a 9V doesn’t fit. The internal mounting pylons and tabs to close the case are in the way.

  • which is the maximum pcb size allowed in this enclosure (at least that was used with it) ?
