  • What would really be awesome is a tutorial on how to use the Wifi functions of this module. The hookup guide kind of glosses over any TCP communications capability the unit has, or how to hook it up to your Arduino to enable communication with other IP hosts. I’m also told that the standard wifi Arduino library will not work with this unit, do I have bad information? And if it does, how do you make the connections to the Ard without a shield?

    • This. The getting started guide gets you ready for using the etheros device cloud, but now how to use the dang thing. Maybe some programing examples of how to send some API based frames. I’ve had a hard time getting data sent to an open listener on another computer.

  • Be very careful buying this module. It doesn’t have the server capability yet. Firmware screws up when you try to use it as a server. Client side is fine. It’s a module intended to replace wired serial port, not a full-featured wifi module that you would expect. This is what all xbee modules are intended to do.

  • Does this module works (out-of-the-box = without making any hardware-modifications on the board, …) with an Arduino Fio? How can this module programmatically (library, …) be used Thanks.
