Keypad - Sealed Membrane Switches

Repacement: None. We don't currently have a replacement for this keypad. This page is for reference only.

This is a specialized adhesive keypad with 27 buttons and a 13 pin output in matrix form. This allows a microcontroller to 'scan' the 13 output pins to see which of the 27 buttons is being pressed. Keypad is super thin with an adhesive backing.

For an enclosure I've found that the Hammond 1593-TBK is a near perfect match.
Information on that line of enclosures is here: http://www.hammondmfg.com/dwg8.htm These boxes are designed for hand held solutions, have rounded edges, recessed top, and some models have battery compartments.

These are extremely thin and flexible, you don't really need a specifically designed enclose, just a flat surface to stick it on.
As an alternative you can peel these things off the front of a lot of old microwaves. Although, this one looks much cooler. (Having buttons like "popcorn" and "defrost" on a robotics project looks kind of silly)

Do you have an enclosure in mind for this?
