LilyPad LED Bright White

Replacement:DEV-10081. We are now selling this in 5 packs. This page is for reference only.

A simple, very bright, 250mcd, white LED LilyPad. Light up the night!

LilyPad is a wearable e-textile technology developed by Leah Buechley and cooperatively designed by Leah and SparkFun. Each LilyPad was creatively designed to have large connecting pads to allow them to be sewn into clothing. Various input, output, power, and sensor boards are available. They're even washable!

Note: We're going to start carrying these in 5-packs, so we've reduced the price on the singles! Get them cheap while we still have stock.

Note: A portion of this sale is given back to Dr. Leah Buechley for continued development and education of e-textiles.

I'll second the request for either bare boards or more variety of fixed colors. Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, etc. A bare board would be great.

Can you offer the bare boards for sale? Bicycles must have a red light visible from the rear in some states. If you can't make a profit selling the bare boards maybe you could offer them with red, amber, and green LEDs. The RGB boards are just too expensive to use for wearable turn signal and brake lights.

I can't work out how to calculate the power consumption of these boards, or rather - given say a coin cell battery of XXmaH, how many hours will it glow?
I thought it would only last a few hours on a 48maH 3V battery, but it has been glowing for 11 days straight now, although it's not as bright as it was the first days.

It's great to see that you have 5-packs of colored LEDs at a lower price... any word on when a similar white LED 5-pack will be available? I can't wait to start on my project using dozens of white LEDs! Thanks!
