Triple Axis Accelerometer Breakout - SCA3000

Replacement: None. We are no longer carrying this breakout board but check out our other accelerometer boards in the sensor category. This page is for reference only.

This is a compact breakout board for the SCA3000 triple axis accelerometer from VTI. This highly precise and temperature compensated accelerometer is a good option for IMU and dead-reckoning applications. The low noise and temperature compensation significantly reduces drift over time.

SCA3000-D01 has an easy to use SPI interface. This breakout board includes a low noise, low drop out, 3.3V regulator that accepts voltages from 3.35V to 10V.

According to digikey there's "Limited quantity available, not recommended for new design." Also the VTI website no longer mentiones this product, and it seems it has been replaced by the SCA3100 (Safety critical) and the SCA3060 (Low Power).
    Anyone ideas on that?

Can this device be used for dead-reckoning applications giving precision without the need of a kalman filter ?

This board has a voltage regulator for Vin to the chip. Are the logic levels converted down from 5V to the 1.7V to 3.6V required I/O voltage range for the chip?

This sensor is not temperature compensated. It is only factory calibrated for 2.5V operation at room temperature.

It looks like your Dimensions text and dimensions image don't match.
