Locking Button - Medium Red Panel Mount

This is a very useful panel-mount locking button/switch. Press it once for ‘on’, once again for ‘off’. It is a SPST N.O. with 7/16" threading. This button has a nice ‘click’ when you press it. We don’t yet have a datasheet for this part, but it would work best in medium-current applications. Overall length (including leads) is 1.52" and has small solder lugs for connection.

Customer Comments

  • Stay away from this item. It broke under normal use within the first 5 minutes of owning it. It’s a cheap plastic and comes apart easily.

  • This thing is not medium sized for me. Looks huge and does not give the impression of tolerating high currents. It pops the red cap out if you mess with it. I don’t like this at all. Better get the Toggle Switch, that one looks way sturdier.

  • How sturdy is this? I was thinking about using if for a guitar pedal footswitch and would gladly order a dozen if I was sure they are tough enough…

    • Unfortunately, not that sturdy. It is almost entirely plastic, I almost broke it under “normal use”. A foot would crush it in no time.
