Lithium Ion Battery - 1250mAh (IEC62133 Certified)

These are very slim, extremely light weight batteries based on Lithium Ion chemistry. Each cell outputs a nominal 3.7V at MFG rated 1300mAh - SparkFun testing shows 1250mAh - you be the judge... Comes terminated with a standard 2-pin JST-PH connector - 2mm spacing between pins. These batteries require special charging. Do not attempt to charge these with anything but a specialized Lithium Polymer charger.

Battery includes built-in protection against over voltage, over current, and minimum voltage. Please use caution when using this battery in wearable projects. When using conductive thread, a short in the thread can create sparks and heat. We recommend using coin cell batteries for beginners.

Core Skill: Electrical Prototyping

If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.

3 Electrical Prototyping

Skill Level: Competent - You will be required to reference a datasheet or schematic to know how to use a component. Your knowledge of a datasheet will only require basic features like power requirements, pinouts, or communications type. Also, you may need a power supply that?s greater than 12V or more than 1A worth of current.

Just What I Needed

I order this battery for a project that I never finished from last year. It arrived on time and was the right about of mAh I needed for my electronics. Previously, I had a 540mAh battery hooked up to my circuitry, but that was the stand battery that came with a mini screen. Long story short, it was too weak after having added more components to the screen so I needed a boost in power. After checking how much power I would need with my ohm meter, I decided on this one. So far it's been great! It's small enough to fit inside my project and definitely has enough power to run for a few hours based on what I have hooked up to it. Overall, I recommend it if you're looking for a good lithium ion battery.
