GNSS Antenna Mounting Hardware Kit

This GNSS Antenna Mounting Hardware Kit gives all of the basic parts you'll need to mount your antenna to a structure or support. We love to use this kit to secure one of our two GNSS Multi-Band Antennas (either the SPK6618H or the TOP106) that allow for tri-band (L1/L2/L5) reception for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou constellations. Once you've assembled and installed the parts in this kit, all you'll need to do is simply screw your antenna to the top and you're all set!

The rod included in this kit is 12in. tall and threaded 5/8in. 11-TPI (threads per inch) found on high-end surveying antennas and equipment. The kit also comes with two #10 x 1-1/2in. Phillips wood screws and two #0 ACC conduit and pipe hangers.

We strongly recommend that you use a pilot hole before using the screws in your installation to minimize your chances of a stripped screw hole.

  • 1x 5/8in. - 11TPI x 12in. Threaded Rod
  • 2x #10 x 1-1/2in. Phillips Drive Wood Screw (Flat Head, Zinc Plated Steel)
  • 2x #0 ACC conduit and pipe hanger

An alternative mount, while costing more, is a 5/8-11 bolt, two 5/8-11 nuts, 5/8 washer, a length of 1 inch EMT conduit, and two 1 inch conduit clamps. The standard length of the 1 inch conduit is 10 feet.

Thread one nut onto the bolt, adjust this first nut to the depth of the antenna mount.

Then place the washer and the second nut on the bolt and tighten the second nut on the bolt, not letting the first nut change position on the bolt.

Now hammer the bolt head and the first washer into the end of the EMT conduit until the washer is flush with the end of the conduit. It will be a tight fit into the conduit. now remove the second nut and washer and mount the antenna with antenna cable and secure the conduit using the 1 inch conduit clamps. This is a heavy, but sturdy antenna mount.

If you want a portable antenna mount, other than a monopod, Amazon sells a paint pole to 1/4-20 adapter then you can use a 1/4-20 to 5/8-11 adapter sold by both Spark fun and Amazon.

Paint poles range from 2 to 30+ feet.
