Replacement: None. We've eliminated the circuit overlays in the SIK in favor of larger, clearer diagrams. This page is for reference only.
These are small slips of paper that are placed on top of a breadboard and held in place with headers. They show beginners where to plug wires to create the circuits included with the SparkFun Inventor's Kit. If you've already got the parts, we figured you might want the overlays by themselves. These are great for educators who like to reuse the inventor's kits but may need new overlays for each session. You are free to print them off for yourself but if you would rather buy them from us, pre-cut, we've made them available. If you do want to print your own you can download the PDF file below!
Note: These are designed to fit the clear breadboard. They should work with larger breadboards but the power buses may not line up correctly (larger breadboards often have split power buses).

How about including a Blank Overlay, with no components, in that file, so we can make any circuit we like for, say, our nephews :)
You could use Fritzing to set up breadboard circuit diagrams.
I guess then you could just make one by scanning a breadboard???
You should make clear overlays, so people can see what's underneath.
Yeah, Sean's right, there's nothing to see underneath, just an empty breadboard.
If you put the overlay down first, there wouldn't be anything underneath it. Except the breadboard. An image of which is shown on the overlay.
Thank you! Having just cut out a set of these last night, I would much rather buy the from you.
