LilyPad Coin Cell Battery Holder - 20mm

If you're looking for a simple way to add a battery to your LilyPad project, the LilyPad Coin Cell Battery Holder might do the trick. It's a simple board which holds a 20mm coin cell battery (such as a CR2032) and gives you 4 connection points (two positive and two negative) for sewing into your project.

Note: The LilyPad Coin Cell Battery Holder is a design conceived by Felicia Williams of Boulder, Colorado. Also, a portion of this sale is given back to Dr. Leah Buechley for continued development and education of e-textiles.

I like this 4 legged coin battery connector better than others. Do you sell the connector itself, know a part number for a distributor, or have a datasheet? Also if there's a page that features where to get parts that are in the SFE Eagle library but not for sale on Sparkfun that would work! Thanks.

    • Take a look at RobertC's comment above, with a link to purchase just the connector. Unfortunately, we do not sell the connector by itself. As far as the Eagle files go, we'll get those posted as soon as we can. Generally, we don't post where we purchase production parts because we often change suppliers-it would be a nightmare attempting to keep such a list up-to-date. Generally DigiKey is a good place to start checking if you are looking for a specific part.

Where can I get the battery clip which is used in this Battery Holder? Is it available through Digikey? A partnumber would be nice. Thank you.

How many LEDs or pins with it support on the lilypad? I had trouble on my last project using this as the power supply. Thanks.

I would also like to know how many LEDs it can support. Also, as an example, could I sew a white LED from the first + and - and then a red from the other + and -? What I really want to do is something like sew a red LED to the battery and then another red LED to the first one (with a button of course). Thanks!
