In order to get the XBees to work properly, I'd need to have two adapters and two corresponding antennae. The products below are the ones recommended. It's annoying I know, having to buy these parts, but it's the only option available for the type of XBee I have. On the plus side though I'll should slightly more range than a typical series 1 XBee.
