this parts list should be sufficient for building the bluetooth 'paint can' color selector. (minus some resistors and wiring.)
it includes an encoder for selecting the color. this encoder has a built-in RGB LED, so it is a basic color-display mechanism by itself.
the power supply should deliver enough voltage to power another 30 or so LEDs. we have a strip of WS2801 displays left over from the last5 project, which I will try to use, but not sure if they still work.
if more illumunation is needed i'd add this ring of 24 LEDs, also using a WS2801 driver: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12665
also threw in a tiny bluetooth USB dongle.
the final circuit should remain useful for any other general bluetooth mockups as well.
