Mikroe Mikromedia 5 for TIVA Capacitive is a compact development board designed as a complete solution for the rapid development of multimedia and GUI-centric applications. The Mikromedia 5 board features USB, Ethernet, WiFi, and RF connectivity options. The device also has a digital motion sensor, battery-charging functionality, piezo-buzzer, SD card reader, RTC, and much more. The MIkromedia 5 has more functions beyond multimedia. It has two standardized 1x26 pin headers that expose the available MCU pins, adding another layer of expandability. Connectivity can be further expanded with several mikroBUS™ sockets, additional connectors, peripherals, and more.

- An ambient light sensor (ALS) can be used for dimming the screen intensity in low-light conditions
- An infrared (IR) receiver with the integrated PIN diode and a demodulation section allows simple control over an IR remote controller to be implemented
- The MCP9700A, an integrated low-power linear active thermistor allows measurement of the ambient temperature
- A high-brightness RGB LED option can be used to provide visual feedback in a very simple way
- Headers & On-Off switch
- Most of the host MCU pins are routed to the two 1x26 pin headers, making them available for further connectivity
- Reset button located on the front side of the board, used to generate a LOW logic level on the microcontroller reset pin
